Roy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 12, 1957. He received his undergraduate degree from Knox College in 1980 and received his law degree from Wake Forest University in 1985. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1985. Roy is also a member of the State Bars of Illinois and New Mexico. Roy joined Barron & Adler, L.L.P. in 2008.
