Reynolds graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Statistics in 1970. He received his law degree from St. Mary's School of Law in 1973. Upon graduation, Reynolds joined family members in general practice with Shelton & Shelton 1974-79. Reynolds began in the field of Eminent Domain with the Texas Attorney General's Office as an Assistant Attorney General, Highway Division (Eminent Domain Section) 1979-85. He joined the firm of Minter, Joseph & Thornhill in Austin where he continued in the eminent domain field from 1985-88. From 1988-2003, Reynolds was employed with the City of Austin Law Department as an Assistant City Attorney (Eminent Domain Section). Reynolds joined Barron & Adler, L.L.P. in 2003.
